Meet the faces behind the Self Care Sisterhood!
Meet Jeanie
Founder, Event Planner, Motivational Speaker, & Recovering People Pleaser
"I started the Sisterhood January 1, 2024, as a New Year’s resolution. After getting married, moving cities, and getting diagnosed with chronic illness, my female friend circle all but vanished. Feeling isolated and lost, I knew I wasn’t taking care of myself and needed accountability. I was also desperately seeking community and female friendships. Thus, The Self Care Sisterhood was born!"

At SCS, we strive to create an empowering community of women working to better themselves through self care. We offer free and low costs events that cover all 7 areas of self care (physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, social, creative, and professional). We believe that in order to care for others, you must first care for yourself. We are on a journey to put ourselves first, TOGETHER!

Meet Courtney
Co-Host, Nursing Student, &
Ultimate Hype Woman
"After graduating from college during the COVID-19 pandemic, I was craving community and genuine friendships. I decided to seek this out by joining different groups on the Meetup app. It was through this platform that I found The Self Care Sisterhood.

Soon after joining the Sisterhood, I became close friends with Jeanie. I offered to help her by co-hosting the group and organizing events. Through the Self Care Sisterhood, I have found my best friend, created a genuine community, and started putting myself first."

Courtney's support and leadership early on have been instrumental in the Sisterhood's thriving community.

Meet Rachel
Co-Host, Teacher, & Avid Bookworm
“It can be difficult to make friends and genuine connections in your late twenties. So thankful I found The Self Care Sisterhood. This community makes me feel welcome and in just a few weeks I felt like I fit right in! I always look forward to monthly book club.”

After a year of membership, Rachel decided it was time to take a more active role. Today, she serves as the co-organizer and host of the Sisterhood. Thanks to Rachel's contributions, the Self Care Sisterhood continues to thrive!
